Marmoset has released new sets of free resources for users of Toolbag 5, its real-time rendering, look development and texture baking software.
Toolbag Library Drop 06 adds 154 new resources: 58 brushes, 86 materials, and 10 textures.
Toolbag Library Drop 07 adds 113 new resources: 50 brushes, 50 materials, 11 smart materials, and 2 textures.
Readymade materials, textures and brushes available free for Toolbag users
Marmoset has been releasing Library Drops since 2021 to expand Toolbag’s accompanying asset Library.
It is available to all users of the software, including those with free 30-day trials, with previews of the assets displayed in the software’s Library window.
The files themselves can then be downloaded from the cloud.
Toolbag Library Drop 06: over 150 new brushes, materials and textures
Toolbag Library Drop 06 is Marmoset’s first for over a year, and the first Library Drop since the company released Toolbag 5.0, the latest major version of the software.
It adds 158 assets: 58 brushes, 86 materials, and 10 textures.
The brushes are mainly for painting fabric details like stitching, and can be used with the new Vector Layers introduced in Toolbag 5.0.
The materials span a range of common real-world material types, including concrete, asphalt, stone, paint, metal, ceramics and wood, while the textures are all geometric patterns.
Updated 16 November 2025: Marmoset has released Toolbag Library Drop 07.
It adds 113 new resources: 50 brushes, 50 materials, 11 smart materials, and 2 textures.
The brushes are mainly mechanical parts like nuts and bolts, chain links, panels and vents; the materials span a range of real-world material types, including a number of fabric materials.
Pricing and availability
Marmoset’s Library Drop materials are available free to Toolbag users.
Toolbag itself is available for Windows 10+ and macOS 13.5+. The current release is Toolbag 5.02.
Perpetual licenses cost $399 for individual artists, or $1,299 for studios. Subscriptions cost $18.99/month for individuals, or $49.99/month for studios.
