KeyShot 6 HD, KeyShot 6 Pro for ZBrush now shipping
A KeyShot 6 beta image created by Andy Jones. KeyShot 6 HD for ZBrush and KeyShot 6 Pro for ZBrush, the new versions of Luxion’s renderer designed specifically for use with ZBrush, are available now.
Pixologic and Luxion are shipping KeyShot 6 HD for ZBrush and KeyShot 6 Pro for ZBrush, the new updates to the version of Luxion’s renderer designed specifically for use with the digital sculpting package.
The new versions have been out a few days, but have just been officially announced on ZBrushCentral.
New Pro edition of the software
As announced at the ZBrush Summit earlier this year, as well as the old HD edition of the software, there is now a new Pro edition.
Each includes all of the same functionality as the corresponding standalone editions of KeyShot 6, released last week, but only accept scenes created via the ZBrush to KeyShot bridge: they don’t import models directly.
For the – now misleadingly titled – HD edition, that means unlimited render resolution, and new materials and interior lighting presets. The Pro edition gets a node-based material editor, animation capabilities and scripting.

Pricing and availability
Both editions of KeyShot 6 for ZBrush are available now for ZBrush 4R7. KeyShot 6 HD for ZBrush costs $200, while KeyShot 6 Pro for ZBrush costs $400.
Existing users get either free or $80 upgrades to ZBrush 6 HD for ZBrush, depending on whether they bought after or before 1 May 2015. In either case, an upgrade to KeyShot 6 Pro for ZBrush costs $200.
The KeyShot to ZBrush bridge itself doesn’t need updating.
