See Trend VFX’s seven-minute VFX breakdown for slave drama Asad

Egypt’s Trend VFX has posted its VFX breakdown for Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab’s new movie, the historical drama Asad.

Set in 19th-century Egypt, the movie is a Middle Eastern counterpart to Spartacus, following the story of a slave revolting against his masters.

Trend VFX’s seven-minute breakdown spans a wide range of effects, including large-scale CG environments, city extensions, and digital crowds.

Given the subject of the movie, there are a number of gory shots, including hangings and beheadings, but also CG creatures and characters, including sequences featuring a CG baby.
