Get 120+ free materials and assets from the new Mari Texture Library

Foundry has launched the Mari Texture Library, a free online library of assets for Mari, its 3D texture painting software, and other DCC applications.
Many of the assets have been created by leading VFX artists, and users can upload their own files to share them with the Mari community.
At the time of writing, the library contains over 120 assets, including Smart Materials and Smart Masks, plus more general-purpose textures, brushes and HDRIs.
An online library of Mari assets created by leading VFX artists
Foundry describes the Mari Texture Library as “a one-stop shop for all things Mari”.
It includes a range of assets available under a 3-clause BSD license, making it possible to use them in commercial projects
The library includes assets created by leading VFX artists, including former MPC Lead Texture Artist Antoni Kujawa and Framestore Senior Texture Artist Kevin San.
Free resources for commercial visual effects, animation and motion graphics work
The library incudes a range of files that could be used in most DCC software, including textures, brush textures and HDRIs.
Textures are provided in JPEG format at resolutions up to 8K, brush textures in PNG format, and HDRIs in EXR format at 2K resolution.
However, the main draw is undoubtedly the Mari-specific files, including Smart Materials, Smart Masks and Smart Utilities in Mari’s MMA and MPC formats.
The Smart Materials mimic a range of real-world surfaces, including wood, metal, plastic and creature textures like lizard skin.
License and system requirements
The files in the Mari Texture Library are available under an open-source 3-Clause BSD license. To download them, you will need to register for a free Foundry account.
Assets in MMA and MPC format are compatible with Mari. Textures in JPEG and PNG format and HDRIs in EXR format are compatible with most DCC applications.
