Adobe releases Substance 3D Sampler 4.5

Adobe has released Substance 3D Sampler 4.5, the latest version of its material authoring and 3D capture software.
The update adds the option to send materials to 3ds Max, Blender, Maya, Unity and Unreal Engine, and a new Gradients type in the software’s texture Generators.

New features in Substance 3D Sampler 4.5 include the option to send materials directly to 3ds Max, Blender, Maya, Unity and Unreal Engine 5.
Interoperability with other CG applications has been a focus for Adobe recently.
In April, the firm released Substance 3D Connector, its open-source framework for writing tools that send data between the Substance 3D applications and other software.
New Gradient texture generator and updates to the HDRI Tools
Other new features include a new Gradients category of Generator – for using a color gradient as a base element in a material, we assume.
There is also a new Environment Rotation filter in the HDRI Tools, Substance 3D Sampler’s toolset for creating and editing HDRIs for use in environment lighting.
Price and system requirements
Substance 3D Sampler 4.5 is compatible with Windows 10+, CentOS 7.0+/Ubuntu 20.04+ Linux and macOS 11.0+. The software is now subscription-only.
The Windows and macOS editions are available via Adobe’s Substance 3D Texturing subscriptions, which cost $19.99/month or $219.88/year; or Substance 3D Collection subscriptions, which cost $49.99/month or $549.88/year.
The Linux edition is available via Creative Cloud for Teams, priced at $1,199.88/yr.
