Basefount Technology ships Miarmy Pro 1.0

Miarmy in action, in a demo created by one of Basefount’s first customers.

Basefount Technology has shipped the Pro edition of Miarmy, its new Maya crowd simulator.

Over the past month, we’ve done a couple of stories on the software: an AI-based crowd simulation system. The Pro release adds some additional control tools and support for multi-camera rigs for stereo rendering.

Miarmy Pro 1.0 has a RRP of $750, but is currently available at a launch price of just $570.

Basefount has also announced that Miarmy 1.5, due for release next year, will include a new physics engine, including integration of PhysX 3.1. You can see a demo video on the company’s YouTube channel.
