Globe Plants to close its online store next month

Online 3D plant library Globe Plants is to close its online store on 1 October 2025. The news was announced in the company’s email newsletter this week.

Now available via Chaos’s Chaos Cosmos library for V-Ray and Corona users
Since its foundation six years ago, Globe Plants has grown to become a popular resource for architectural visualization, with over 980 plant species in its library, and 14,000 users worldwide.

The firm recently partnered with Chaos to make its 3D plant models available in Chaos Cosmos, the asset library available to subscribers of Chaos software, including V-Ray and Corona.

Cosmos now seems to be the only place existing Globe Plants models will be available in the long term, with the site announcing that it intends to close its online store on 1 October 2025.

However, its custom request service, where users can commission new 3D plant species for exclusive or non-exclusive use, will remain available.

In the newsletter, Globe Plants described the change as an “exciting new chapter” in its history.
