Insydium releases Fused 2025.4 with new animation toolset Jidou
Insydium has released Fused 2025.4, the latest version of its set of Cinema 4D plugins for effects simulation, digital environment creation and motion graphics work.
The release adds support for smoke and fire simulation in GPU-based particle effects plugin NeXus, along with new FLIP and APIC solvers for liquid simulation.
There is also a completely new toolset, Jidou: a set of five plugins for procedural animation.
A set of Cinema 4D add-ons for effects simulation and generating 3D plants and terrain
Fused is a product bundle for Insydium’s Cinema 4D plugins, including particle and effects add-ons NeXus and X-Particles, terrain generator TerraformFX and plant-generation system Taiao.
It is now the main way to buy the plugins, although you can create custom product bundles.
Fused 2025.4: new smoke, fire and liquid simulation capabilities in NeXus
Most of the changes in Fused 2025.4 are updates to NeXus, the GPU-based particle and effects simulation toolset.
New features include nxExplosiaFX, a smoke and fire simulation toolset, and FLIP and APIC solvers for creating larger-scale, more complex liquid simulations than was previously possible.
We covered them when Indsydium released sneak peeks of the tools earlier this year, so you can read more about nxExplosiaFX and the new liquid solvers in our original stories.
The NeXus core has also been “completely re-engineered”, improving simulation speed and reducing memory usage, and adding support for layered GPU falloffs, for mixing the effects of modifiers.
Jidou: a new set of multi-purpose procedural animation tools
Fused 2025.4 also introduces a new toolset, Jidou, a set of five procedural animation tools.
The core is jdDriver, a parameter-driving system that can be used to control the position, scale, rotation or roll behavior of 3D objects in a scene via two further tools, jdAnimate and jdGeoRoll.
The remaining two tools, jdFlowCam and jdGeoFlow, make it possible to create path-based animations for cameras and objects.
Jidou can be used for a range of animation tasks, but to judge from the video above, is particularly well suited to technical animation and motion graphics work.
Price and system requirements
The plugins in Fused 2025.4 are compatible with Cinema 4D 20+, on Windows 7+ or macOS 10.14.6+. NeXus is GPU-accelerated on AMD, Apple Silicon, Intel and NVIDIA GPUs.
Fused Complete bundles include perpetual licenses of the plugins, and currently cost £590 (around $790), down £300 since the previous release. Fused subscriptions cost £390/year.
