Download 56 free PBR fabric materials for Unreal Engine

Epic Games has made a set of 56 PBR fabric materials for Unreal Engine free to download until the end of March 2019, as part of its series of monthly free asset drops.

The files, created by games artist Ronan Mahon, are derived from scans of real fabrics, including canvas, corduroy, cotton, denim, felt, flannel, fleece, fur, lace, leather, linen, terry cloth, velvet and wool.

Each comes with 15 child material instances, making a total of 840 variant materials, and includes a set of 4,096 x 4,096px texture maps.

Lighting features supported by the materials include subsurface scattering and ambient occlusion.

Other UE4 resources made available free as part of this month’s asset drop include packs of modular architectural building blocks, swords, and roll and dodge animations.
