Visit Modo Live at Gnomon’s LA campus on 9 February

The Foundry has announced Modo Live: a free evening of talks and demos by leading Modo users, due to be held at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus on Thursday 9 February 2017.

The event will also be broadcast worldwide on Gnomon’s Livestream channel: you can watch along via the embedded player above, and ask questions on Twitter using the hashtag #gnomon.

See leading Modo users discuss their work – plus a sneak peek at some new technology
The event brings together Modo experts from the worlds of games, animation and industrial design, including Boxel Animation Studio, 9b Studios, BattleCry Studios and freelance artist Ed Ferrari.

Each presenter will give a 20-minute talk about their work, and how it makes use of Modo, including “beautiful environments, elegant jewelry design, athletic gear – and even an unforgettable teenage parrot”.

To conclude the evening, The Foundry’s creative specialist, Greg Brown, will share a sneak peek at “some exciting technology coming soon” – presumably also within Modo.

Free to attend, but register online first
Modo Live takes place at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus from 6-9pm on Thursday 9 February 2017. The event is free to attend – and includes free food and drinks – but you’ll need to register online first.

Other partners for the event include Wacom, ArtStation, Sketchfab and Modo training outfit Pixel Fondue.
