Gnomon has announced 3D Artist Career Paths: from Video Game Cinematics to Films, a free event exploring how to break into the CG industry – and how to advance your career once you do.

The live event takes place at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects’ Hollywood campus on Thursday 27 August from 7-10pm, and will also be streamed online.

See two leading game and movie artists reveal their career secrets
The session will be hosted by Blizzard Entertainment cinematics veteran turned RoboCop and Transformers concept artist Fausto de Martini and his former Blizzard colleague, cinematic artist Seth Thompson.

Both will begin by tracing their own career paths, and offering practical insights into how to make your work stand out from the crowd in the competitive CG industry.

Following the initial presentation and an audience Q&A session, Fausto and Seth will hold live demos of their work, including an exclusive look at Project Edge, Fausto’s new personal design project.

Sign up online, or watch the livestream for free
The event is free, but entry is by RSVP only, and seating is available on a first-come-first-served basis. If you can’t make it to Hollywood in person, you can also watch the livestream via the link below.
