Chaos Group celebrates ten years of V-Ray

The current V-Ray VFX demo reel. Chaos Group has just marked the renderer’s tenth anniversary by launching a new website devoted to all things V-Ray, including the chance to win T-shirts and copies of the software.

Chaos Group has marked V-Ray’s tenth anniversary by launching a dedicated website looking back over the history of the renderer and offering visitors special discounts and contest prizes.

The site includes a timeline of the software, a photo gallery showing staff and users throughout the decade, and all of the current demo reels.

Anyone filling in the online survey will have the chance to win one of three licences of the software or one of 20 (actually rather cool-looking) 10th anniversary T-shirts.

There is also a promo section for special offers: currently, a 30% discount for anyone buying both Maya and Softimage editions before 13 July.

Chaos Group is also running an online art contest with CGSociety to mark the software’s anniversary.
