Get over 1,000 free 3D sculpting brushes from BlenderKit

Blender asset library BlenderKit just reached another milestone: it now contains over 5,000 custom sculpting brushes for use in visualization, animation, games and VFX projects.

At the time of writing, over 1,000 are free, and can be used in commercial projects.

For character work, the free assets include brushes suitable for detailing clothing – including folds and stitching – and characters, from skin pores and wrinkles to entire facial features.

Environment artists get brushes suitable for creating architectural details, natural surfaces like wood and rock, mechanical details like grilles and rivets, and a range of damage brushes.

The ‘largest asset library integrated into Blender’
Founded in 2017, BlenderKit integrates an online library of 3D assets directly into Blender, making it possible to import them directly into the open-source 3D software.

It now features over 10,000 assets, including 3D models, materials, HDRIs and even complete 3D scenes, just under half of them available for free.

You can read more about the library and the other free resources in this story.

Paid subscriptions provide access to even more assets, online storage and add-ons
Paid subscriptions on BlenderKit provide access to the other assets available, plus 2GB of online storage, extra add-ons and extended customer support.

For artists and studios with under $100,000/year in revenue, subscriptions now cost $17.90/month or $118.80/year. Business subscriptions cost $48/month or $348/year.

License and system requirements
The BlenderKit plugin is compatible with Blender 3.0+. The assets in the library are available under RF (Royalty-Free) and CC0 licenses, and can be used in commercial projects.
