A 2014 demo video for Clara.io showing its V-Ray cloud rendering functionality. Developer Exocortex has just begun rolling out a new look and feel for the popular online 3D modelling, animation and rendering system.
Exocortex has begun rolling out a new look for Clara.io, its online 3D modelling, animation and rendering system, redesigning the scenes page and model library and providing a cleaner, simplified colour scheme.
Launched in 2013, Clara.io replicates many of the features of traditional desktop 3D software within any modern web browser. It imports most standard 3D file formats, and even supports V-Ray cloud rendering.
The redesign also coincides with a milestone for the system, which passed 100,000 users at the start of March.
Basic accounts are free, and provide 5GB of online storage, up to 10 private scenes and limited online rendering; paid accounts start at $10/month, and provide additional storage and capabilities.
