Get 150+ modular assets to create wooden cabins in Unreal Engine

Epic Games has made a set of 156 modular assets for creating a rural cabin and its surrounding environment available to download for free from Fab, its new online marketplace.

Games environment artist Maarten Hof’s‘s Modular Rural Cabin asset pack is part of the latest set of time-limited free content released on Fab, and will be free until 7 October 2025.

The Modular Rural Cabin asset pack consists of 156 meshes for creating a rural cabin – with wooden walls and an iron roof – and its wooded surroundings, with a “AAA realistic” art style.

As well as parts of the cabin itself, they include set dressing objects like chairs, tables, log piles, oil drums and tires; and a set of 3D plants, including a conifer tree.

The meshes don’t have LODs, but they do have lightmaps.

The asset pack includes eight customizable master materials, with textures up to 2,048 x 2,048px in resolution, and six maps including readymade environment layouts.

System requirements and availability
The Modular Rural Cabin asset pack is available as an asset package for Unreal Engine 4.22+ and 5.0+ under a Fab Standard license.

The terms of the Fab Standard license permit content to be used in “any engine or tool”, including for commercial projects, subject to the restrictions set out in the Fab EULA.
