Discover how to create AAA game art for virtual reality

On Thursday 6 December, First Contact Entertainment will discover whether Firewall Zero Hour has won the prize for Best VR/AR Game at the 2018 Game Awards.

At the same time, visitors to Gnomon’s Hollywood campus will have a chance to discover what goes on beneath the hood of the squad-based shooter at The Art of Firewall Zero Hour.

Hosted by three of First Contact’s key artists, the free evening event will provide a unique insight into the challenges of developing games for virtual reality.

Discover current UE4 animation and lighting workflows for virtual reality titles
During the session, art director Aaron Kaminer, animation director Bill Buckley and lead environment artist Mike DiMeo will explore the differences between developing traditional games and developing for VR.

Over the course of 150 minutes, the team will discuss current workflows in animation, lighting and rendering for virtual reality when working in Unreal Engine.

The presentation will also cover the concept, character, and environment art that went into making Firewall Zero Hour one of the most downloaded games for PS VR.
