Pixologic to demo new version of ZBrush in August

140717_ZBrushSummit

Pixologic is to show a “sneak peek” of a new version of ZBrush at ZBrush Summit: a free three-day event held at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles from 8-10 August, and streamed live around the world.

There are no details about what that new version will be – but given that it’s a year since ZBrush 4R6, and that Pixologic normally puts out free updates every six months, it’s easy to imagine that it’ll be a major release.

Sessions from star names in the ZBrush world
As well as the technical demos, ZBrush Live will feature presentations from studios including from Disney, Legacy Effects, Ubisoft and Hasbro, covering ZBrush in TV, film, games, 3D printing and toy manufacturing.

Guest speakers include former CG Channel interviewees Josh Herman, Dominic Qwek and Vance Kovacs.

Entry to ZBrush Summit is free, but admission is available on a first-come first-served basis. If you can’t make it to California, you can view the live stream from your PC, iOS or Android device, and ask questions online.
