Eye candy: the new V-Ray VFX and cinematics reel

Not content with releasing four new V-Ray demo reels last month, Chaos Group has just released a new reel rounding up VFX and cinematics projects created using the renderer – and it’s saved the prettiest for last.

Nice games work from Platige Image and Blur Studio
The cinematics will probably be most familiar to regular CG Channel readers, including some fantastic work from Platige Image, and pretty much every major recent teaser released by Blur Studio.

(Our particular favourites are the ones for Elder Scrolls Online and Batman: Arkham Origins.)

A range of VFX projects
The VFX isn’t necessarily what you might expect, featuring as it does work by CGarchitect Architectural 3D award-winning visualisation and production design studio Factory Fifteen.

However, there is also some great work from more conventional visual effects studios, including Oscar winners Pixomondo, France’s Mikros Image and Ireland’s Screen Scene.

It’s a shame not to see anything from the big US studios that use V-Ray, but there’s always next year.
