NoiseMaker in action. The procedural texture-generation plugin will now be released as part of ZBrush 4R3.
Less than six months after the release of ZBrush 4R2 – and just a month after ZBrush 4R2b – Pixologic has announced another major free update to ZBrush.
ZBrush 4R3 will expand the FiberMesh hair simulation toolkit added in 4R2b, and add a range of new features, including vector displacement maps and the option to convert FiberMesh and MicroMesh renders – the latter, scenes in which FiberMesh hairs have been replaced by other 3D models – back to geometry for editing.
The release should also include the NoiseMaker procedural texture-generation plugin, first announced last year. There’s no news about the QRemesher remeshing plugin unveiled on the release of ZBrush 4R2b, though.
Updated 29 February: ZBrush 4R3 is now available here.
