Download Ten24’s free hi-res 3D scan of a female human head
Ten24 has released a free high-resolution 3D scan of a female human head in FBX, OBJ and ZBrush ZTL formats, with 8K PBR texture maps, and Blender and Marmoset Toolbag scenes.
The firm has also released 26 free makeup and dirt textures that can be used with the head.

The latest of Ten 24’s free 3D scans, the new head model is based on a scan of a young white female actor.
It is provided as a ZBrush ZTL file, and in OBJ and FBX formats, with the head, teeth, tongue and the eyeballs, lenses, wet lines, lashes and brows provided as separate meshes.
It comes with 8,192 x 8,192px JPEG or TGA textures. Both sets comprise albedo, normal, displacement, roughness and specular maps, compatible with PBR workflows.
The displacement map is also supplied as a 16-bit TIFF, for skin details like pores and wrinkles.
Ten24 has also provided render-ready Blender and Marmoset Toolbag scenes with HDRI environment lighting and skin and material shaders already set up.
26 free dirt and makeup overlay textures, provided as 8K PSD files
Ten24 has also released a set of 26 free overlay textures for dirt and makeup.
They’re pretty extreme – the goth makeup in the video above is about as subtle as they get – but if you want to cake a character in mud, or give them a clown face, they’re for you.
The overlays are provided in PSD format, and are also 8,192 x 8,192px textures.
They are compatible with the new free female head and any of Ten24’s commercial SD, HD, Metamorph and Exomorph head scans.
The firm sells a range of further commercial 3D scans, including male and female hands, feet and full bodies, via 3D Scan Store, its online shop.
Licence and system requirements
Ten24’s 3D head scan is free to download. It isn’t licensed for commercial use, but can be used for any private or non-commercial project, or for internal tests within a studio or company.
The scan is provided in FBX and OBJ format, and as scene files for ZBrush 2022+, Marmoset Toolbag 4+, and Blender 3.2.2+. To download the files, you will need to sign up for the 3D Scan Store email newsletter.
The 26 overlay textures are provided in PSD format, and can be downloaded by registering for a free account on the 3D Scan Store.
