The Gnomon Workshop releases Introduction to ZBrush 2024

The Gnomon Workshop has released Introduction to ZBrush 2024, a comprehensive guide to the industry-standard digital sculpting software, recorded by Madeleine Scott-Spencer.

The tutorial – a new version of the popular beginner-to-intermediate-level training course, updated for ZBrush 2024 – comprises over 18 hours of video training.

A complete guide to sculpting, texturing and rendering in ZBrush
For some years now, Scott-Spencer’s ZBrush training for The Gnomon Workshop has provided an invaluable introduction to the software, and is updated with every major release of ZBrush.

The training begins with a quickstart tutorial for users entirely new to ZBrush, covering the process of sculpting a character bust using DynaMesh.

In subsequent chapeters, Scott-Spencer revisits the character to create a full-body creature sculpt with fine details, including wrinkles and pores.

Other key topics covered include modeling hard-surface props, creating cloth and costume elements, texturing, posing figures, and rendering images within ZBrush.

As well as the training videos themselves, viwers of the workshop can download a range of supporting files to help follow the tutorials.

About the artist
Madeleine Scott-Spencer is Head of Assets and Visual Development at Cinesite.

She has worked in VFX and collectible design for nearly two decades, for studios including Weta Workshop and DNEG, on movies including The Hobbit trilogy and Wonder Woman.
