Eye candy: Adobe’s Substance 2020 games reel

Adobe has released its 2020 Substance in Games showreel: a two-minute rundown of the best recent games created with its Substance material-authoring tools: Substance Painter, Designer and Alchemist.

Unlike the 2020 Houdini games reel, also released this week, there aren’t a lot of indie titles on show: this is AAA entertainment all the way.

And it really is entertainment: the reel features most of the past year’s most visually stunning games, plus a few coming up this year for good measure.

Clips include Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII remake – and that’s just the first 30 seconds. Grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy.
