In the free event, held at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus on Thursday 14 January and streamed live online, four of the studio’s senior staff will provide their advice on careers in animation, and answer audience questions.

Founded in 1995, Blur Studio is one of the world’s leading animation and VFX studios, with a portfolio ranging from title sequences to Hollywood blockbusters to some of the games industry’s most striking cinematics.
Its client list includes Apple, HBO, Disney, EA, Netflix, 2K Games, LucasArts, Sony Pictures and many more.
Four of the firm’s key staff will be present at An Evening With Blur Studio: heads of CG and animation Jerome Denjean and Warren Grub, HR and recruiting manager Monica Haley, and FX supervisor Brandon Riza.
Together, they will discuss the art of crafting demo reels that stand out from the crowd and how to make a good first impression at interview, and offer their perspectives on life in the CG industry.
The session will be rounded out by 30 minutes of audience questions, allowing young artists to ask the questions they need to help advance their own careers.

An Evening With Blur Studio – Demo Reels, Interviews & Industry Realities takes place at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus from 7.30-10pm PT on Thursday 14 January 2016.
The event is free, but you’ll need to register online in advance, and seating is available on a first-come-first-served basis. If you can’t make it to LA in person, you can watch for free on Gnomon’s Livestream channel.
