The Foundry has released its 2015 showreel: a typically gorgeous three-minute compilation of the best new work created with its software, including Nuke, Mari, Modo, Hiero, Katana and Ocula.
As you might expect, the major VFX blockbusters from the past year – including Guardians of the Galaxy and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes – are present and correct, as is Home, DreamWorks’ latest animated feature.
However, there is also nice commercials work in there, along with more unexpected projects such as Ambition, Platige’s gorgeous VFX short for the European Space Agency, and Matt Burniston’s indie short The Mega Plush.
And, unusually for a company showreel, there are some brief breakdowns of how individual shots were produced: an interesting touch.
