Creative Dimension Software has released an update to its 3DSOM Pro image-based modelling package. (Actually, it came out in January, but it’s only just being picked up by the news sites.)

New features in 3DSOM Pro 3.5 include the option to export the models created to WebGL or Collada formats; and the option to generate additional texture maps for the specular and transparency channels of an object – the latter enabling users to accurately reconstruct transparent materials such as glass for the first time.

3DSOM Pro is available for Windows only, price $1,349.
