Download Autodesk’s free Maya 2024 Bonus Tools

Autodesk has updated the Maya Bonus Tools, its free collection of add-on scripts and plugins for Maya, to support Maya 2024.

Full disclosure: the update was released last year, but we only spotted it while researching something else, and since it hasn’t had much coverage online, we thought it was worth a story.

Experimental free tools to streamline modeling, UV work and rigging in Maya
Provided on an ‘as is’ basis, without active product support, the Bonus Tools provides Maya users with experimental extra features, particularly for 3D modeling and UV editing.

Maya Bonus Tools 2020-2024, the current release, makes the add-on compatible with the latest major version of the software, Maya 2024, and the Maya 2024.1 and 2024.2 updates.

Other than that, there’s only one actual new tool, Create > Mesh Axis, so version compatibility is the main reason to update.

System requirements and availability
The Maya Bonus Tools are available free for Maya 2020+ and above running on Windows, macOS or Linux.
