Xsens has released a new plugin for streaming data from its intertial motion-capture suits direct into Unity. The tool enables artists to preview motions directly on a character, instead of having to import FBX files.

The Unity add-on joins Xsens’ existing streaming plugins for Maya and MotionBuilder.

And that’s it. Xsens doesn’t list prices for its systems on its website, but with clients including machinima firm Strange Company, the release looks likely to be of interest to at least the top end of the indie games market.
