AAA Studio cuts educational price of FurryBall to €99

FurryBall 3 in action. Developer AAA Studio has just cut the price of an educational licence of the GPU-accelerated renderer to €99 (around $128), so long as users upload samples of their work to its forum.

AAA Studio has reduced the price of educational licences of FurryBall, its GPU-accelerated renderer for Maya, to €99 (around $128 at current exchange rates). A full licence normally costs €999.

The licences are available to any student or teacher, are valid for a year, and include free updates and support. The educational version lacks stereo support, and is not upgradable, but is not otherwise feature-limited.

Users must also agree to upload any finished work completed using FurryBall to the developer’s forum – or failing that, at least two sample images of any unfinished projects: an interesting way of singing for your supper.
