See Rodeo FX’s VFX breakdown for FM ‘Protect Your Purpose’

Rodeo FX has posted its VFX breakdown for a new ad for commercial property insurance specialist FM (Factory Mutual).

The 30-second spot, directed by Partizan’s Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, explores the theme of ‘strong, fluid’ insurance in multiple ways.

The main one is the ribbon of liquid metal that flows through each shot, created entirely in 3D by Rodeo FX’s Paris team, and representing the “constant presence and reassurance of insurance”.

However, Rodeo FX also delivered shots that show massive ocean waves breaking against a full 3D seafront: one of the natural forces that insurance is intended to protect against.
