See Dexter Studios’ VFX breakdown for The WONDERfools

Dexter Studios just posted its VFX breakdown for superhero comedy The WONDERfools.

The offbeat late 1990s-set Korean drama follows a group of twentysomething neighbourhood misfits who unexpectedly acquire superpowers that they struggle to control.

The breakdown focuses on those superpowers – mainly teleportation and telekinesis, including a spectacular sequence in which the characters fling around all the cars and trucks in scrapyard.

However, there are also a range of other effects, including a CG heart, a giant CG cockroach – and even a giant inflatable onion covered in people, Katamari Damacy-style.
