Been laid off? JangaFX is giving you its tools free for six months

JangaFX is making its real-time effects software available free for six months to anyone working in game development or visual effects who has recently been laid off.
Aritsts who are between jobs can receive receive temp licenses of smoke and fire simulator EmberGen, liquid simulator LiquiGen, terrain generator GeoGen, and VFX asset tool IlluGen.

JangaFX has previously made its tools available free to artists who have been made redundant, but sadly, the past year has been unusually tough, particularly in the visual effects industry, where there have been a number of high-profile studio closures.
However, being between jobs does at least give you some time to work on a killer demo reel, which is why JangaFX is providing a six-month license of its tools for use in portfolio work.
Anyone affected can get access to its Elemental Suite tools: smoke and fire simulator EmberGen, liquid simulator LiquiGen, VFX asset authoring tool IlluGen, and GeoGen, its in-development terrain and planet generator.
The applications are compatible with Windows 10+ or Linux, and have reasonable minimum hardware requirements: the better your GPU, the better they will perform, essentially.
Apply through JangaFX’s new online portal
When JangaFX began its layoff assistance program last year, artists had to apply by email, but to speed up the process, JangaFX has now created a dedicated online application form.
To use it, you will need to create a free account on the JangaFX website: you may need to do this from the homepage rather than via the page about the layoff assistance program itself.
Once logged into your account, you just need to provide brief details of where you were laid off from, and a link to your LinkedIn profile.
