KeenTools releases KeenTools 2025.2 for Blender and Nuke

KeenTools has released KeenTools 2025.2, the latest version of its suite of plugins for Blender and Nuke.

The update mainly adds support for Blender 4.5 and Nuke 16.0, but Blender users also get a few minor workflow improvements to tracking plugins FaceTracker and GeoTracker.

‘100% a maintenance release’, with a few workflow improvements
In the release notes, KeenTools describes KeenTools 2025.2 as “100% a maintenance update … while we’re working on something really cool and big”.

As such, the main changes are simply support for the current versions of the host software: Blender 4.5 – including its new Vulkan viewport rendering backend – and Nuke 16.0.

All three of KeenTools’ main plugins have been updated: facial reconstruction tool FaceBuilder, facial tracking plugin FaceTracker, and 3D object tracking plugin GeoTracker.

However, Blender users get a few workflow improvements, particularly in GeoTracker, where the look of the new wireframe render option added in KeenTools 2025.1 has been reworked.

Price and system requirements
The KeenTools plugins are compatible with Blender 2.80+ and Nuke 12.2v4+. GeoTracker is also available for After Effects 17.0+.

The software is available rental-only, with each individual plugin costing $18/month or $179/year for individuals, or $499/year for studios.
