Free tool: Animation Render Time Estimator for Blender
Auto-Terrainer developer Samuel Francis has released Animation Render Time Estimator for Blender, a handy free script for predicting the total render times for Blender animations.
A simple, handy add-on for estimating render time for animations
By default, Blender only shows the progress of individual frames being rendered, leaving artists to estimate the total time for an animation to render manually.
Animation Render Time Estimator provides a quick solution, displaying an estimated render time and progress bar for an animation being rendered.
The estimated time is based on the first few frames of an animation, skipping the first, with users able to choose how often the estimate is updated.
As well as being displayed in the Blender UI, the script prints the information to the console.
System requirements
Animation Render Time Estimator for Blender is compatible with Blender 4.2+. It’s free.
