Gnomon School of Visual Effects has announced a new course on creating compelling 2D and 3D animation.
Tutored by Reno Armanet of Tigobo Animation, Animation from 2D to 3D: The French Touch runs during the weekends of 17-18 November and 8-9 December 2012.
A global perspective
The course will begin with an exploration of the many styles of animation from around the world before moving on to an understanding of what makes a good animation.
Using Maya and Photoshop, Tigobo will walk students through the many processes of creating world-class animations from storyboarding to design, acting, expressions, timing, rhythm – and even sound design.
Great emphasis will be placed on developing your own style of animation and becoming an ‘anim-actor’, and there will be the opportunity to take the techniques taught in the class and apply them to your own work.
Animation from 2D to 3D: The French Touch takes place at The Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, California, on 17-18 November and 8-9 December 2012. Places cost $850.
