Eye candy: the new Arnold demo reel

Hot on the heels of last week’s Houdini showreel, Solid Angle has released a new demo reel for Arnold. And like Solid Angle’s previous reel, it proves that the powerful raytrace renderer is no longer ‘just for big studios’.

From the very large to the very small, and all points between
At the top end of the scale, the reel includes Sony Pictures Imageworks’ and Sony Pictures Animation’s movies throughout the years, from Monster House onwards.

At the bottom end, it includes indie VFX projects like Peter Szewczyk’s Our Lady of Lourdes. And in between, there are commercials from the likes of The Mill, and some excellent cinematics from Digic Pictures.

It’s nice to see so many smaller European studios included, too: from Spain’s The Frank Barton Company to Norway’s Qvisten Animation. Check out all the logos at 03:30 for a full run-down of the facilities involved.
