Unity releases Unity 2021 LTS

Unity Technologies has released Unity 2021 LTS, its latest Long Term Support edition of the game engine.

The release includes all of the features added to the software in Unity 2021.1 and Unity 2021.2, and will continue to receive regular fixes for two years.

No new features, but fixes until mid-2024
Unity’s LTS releases are intended for developers who want to embark on major projects without the risk of needing to update their software in the middle of production.

As a result, Unity 2021 LTS doesn’t have any new features compared to Unity 2021.2, just bugfixes; but will continue to receive regular fixes, including those backported from future releases, until mid-2024.

Pricing and system requirements
Unity 2021 LTS is available for Windows 7+, macOS 10.13+ and 11.0 and CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 and CentOS 7 Linux.

Free Personal subscriptions have a non-customisable splash screen and can be used by anyone with revenue of up to $100,000/year. Paid Plus and Pro plans cost $399/year and $1,800/year.
