League of Legends isn’t like other games. For a start, it give rise to the name of an entire genre, and spawned a lexicon of baffling technical terms. And the way it introduces new content isn’t exactly conventional, either.
To mark the release of its next champion, Jinx, developer Riot Games created not merely a log-in screen, or even a cinematic, but a complete 3D animated music video.
Like its anti-heroine, the entire thing seems to have escaped from Jamie Hewlett’s mind, circa 1990, and it probably makes more sense if you play the game, but it’s snappy, slickly edited, and actually pretty darn cool.
