Project Dogwaffle team releases PD Artist 9

Howler 9 in action: part of a series of YouTube demo videos. Developer Dan Ritchie has just shipped PD Artist 9, a $20 sister application to the digital painting package that lacks its animation-specific features.

The Project Dogwaffle team has released PD Artist 9, the sister package to Howler 9, its VFX-friendly paint tool. PD Artist 9 is identical to its sibling, minus the animation-specific features.

According to developer Dan Ritchie, Artist 9 “includes the global illumination raytracer (minus the keyframing) and the side-by-side comparison feature, as well as the additional non-animation changes made in Howler 9”.

The price of the software has been cut to just $20. PD Artist 9 is also upgradable to Howler 9.
