Refractive Software ships OctaneRender for 3ds Max

Continuing the run of last-minute product releases before Christmas (or early Christmas presents, depending on how you look at it), Refractive Software has shipped Octane Render for 3ds Max.

Announced earlier this year, OctaneRender for 3ds Max is a plugin that makes the features of the standalone Octane renderer available via the native Max interface.

The deadlines have slipped a bit since our original story, so today’s announcement is still a beta release, at the beta price of €99 (around $135). The price is due to rise to €199 ($270) on the plugin’s commercial release.

OctaneRender for 3ds Max requires OctaneRender Standalone 2.56 and 3ds Max 2010 or above.
