Video Copilot releases 15 free HD stock particle clips

Creating physical particles the Video Copilot way: “You can use flour, you can use Fuller’s Earth, you can use anthrax… any kind of white powder will do.”

Video Copilot has released 15 free HD (720p resolution) stock footage clips of particle effects, together with a 10-minute tutorial on using them in After Effects. All the clips are available for commercial use.

Which would be pretty cool in itself, but as the video above reveals, the clips themselves were created simply by filming flour particles drifting in front of a macro lens. Neat.
