Grade games like films with Amplify Color for Unity

Amplify Creations has released Amplify Color 1.4, a new update to its colour-grading extension for Unity, intended to enable games artists to carry out grading work at “a level comparable to film and visual effects”.

The extension enables artists to use familiar tools to make in-game colour changes, grading reference frames in Photoshop or another 2D editor, with Amplify Color feeding the results back automatically into Unity.

The resulting colour updates can be applied on a per-object basis for greater control over the output.

Now supports Color Volumes, faster on mobile devices
Amplify Color 1.4 extends user control by adding support for Color Volumes. As the camera – or a proxy object, such as the player – moves from one volume to another, Unity automatically switches between colour profiles.

The software has also been optimised for better performance on mobile devices.

Amplify Color 1.4 is available for Unity 3.5.7 or higher. It normally costs $50, but is currently available at a 50% discount in the Unity Asset Store.
