Side Effects has released a new 35-minute tutorial on using Houdini 12‘s updated PyroFX toolset.
During the video, product specialist Scott Keating uses the volcano preset – used in creating the original Houdini 12 demo – to rough out the basis of an eruption effect, then refines the shot with Houdini’s other tools.
It’s a neat introduction to dynamics in Houdini, and complements the recent webinar on using FLIP fluid simulation to create a waterfall – the video for which is now available on the Side Effects website.
