RandomControl releases Arion 1.6

Arion 1.6’s new hide and isolate tools in action. The latest free update to the physically accurate hybrid renderer also adds support for rendering scenes of infinite size.

RandomControl has released a significant new update to Arion, its hybrid GPU/CPU-based rendering software: the second in three weeks.

In addition to the new features of Arion 1.5.1, Arion 1.6 adds support for scenes containing infinite numbers of objects, materials or texture maps.

Memory handling has been correspondingly improved, with RandomControl claiming a saving of 25% on RGB map channels and 75% on greyscale channels.

New hide and isolate tools have also been added, as has a camera roll property, QTVR export and an improved OBJ importer/exporter.

The update is free to registered users of Arion 1.x.
