Get AlgoMesh’s free Cinema 4D plugin for Differential Line Growth

Tools developer AlgoMesh has released Differential Line Growth, a free Cinema 4D plugin for creating differential growth effects for motion graphics, VFX and illustration work.
A free add-on for creating differential growth forms in Cinema 4D
Differental Line Growth applies differential growth to a spline, inserting new points in curved regions, and applying attraction and repulsion between them to prevent self-intersection.
With each iteration, the spline progressively deforms into complex organic-looking forms that resemble the way that lichens grow or rivers meander – or just look good in motion graphics.
The plugin supports standard Cinema 4D spline controls, and works with splines with multiple segments, such as the Text Spline object.
You can read a nice overview of how differential growth algorithms work in this Medium post by creative technologist Jason Webb.
From the developer of AlgoMesh Parametrics
As well as its free plugins, AlgoMesh develops paid add-ons like AlgoMesh Parametrics, which generates complex parametric forms like Moebius strips and torus knots.
Price and system requirements
Differential Line Growth is compatible with Cinema 4D. It’s a free download.
