Adobe releases Photoshop 27.4

Adobe has released Photoshop 27.4, the latest version of the image-editing software, widely used in the entertainment industry for concept art, texture editing, and retouching renders.

It’s mainly a bugfix release, but it updates the Generate Similar option in the Generative Fill and Generative Expand features to use Adobe’s new Firefly Fill and Expand AI model.

In Photoshop 27.3, Adobe rolled out its new Firefly Fill and Expand AI model in Generative Fill and Generative Expand, its AI tools for generating new areas of an image.

In Photoshop 27.4, the new AI model is also available for Generate Similar, which automatically generates variations for the new AI content.

Other than that, the only changes in the update are three bugfixes.

Price and system requirements
Photoshop 27.4 is compatible with Windows 10+ and macOS 14.0+. In the online documentation, it is also referred to as the February 2026 release.

The software is rental-only, with Photography subscription plans that include access to Photoshop costing $29.99/month or $239.88/year.

Single-app Photoshop subscriptions cost $34.49/month or $263.88/year.
