Download a free high-resolution timelapse HDRI sky

HDRMAPS – aka artist Grzegorz Wronkowski – has released a free pack of 300 unclipped high-resolution timelapse HDRI images of a sunny sky.

The 9,256 x 4,628px 32-bit EXR files, which are available under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, can be used individually, or as an animated environment in a 3D scene.

Wronkowski captured the images at five-second intervals using a Nikon D800 D-SLR camera, a Promote Control contoller and a 10-stop ND filter attached to a Sigma 8mm circular fisheye lens, using an X-Rite ColorChecker target to ensure proper white balance.

The image set has been tested in Blender, but should work in any DCC application.
