Autodesk’s Gary M. Davis has posted a tutorial on the MediaSync functionality in 3ds Max 2013.
The 45-minute video explores the new workflow between 3ds Max and After Effects or Photoshop, including smart export of render passes; and bidirectional exchange of lights, cameras and geometry.
It’s more of an overview of the new tools than for people who have already explored them in detail, but it includes some useful tips. There’s also a wee bit of iray work towards the end of the video, for test rendering.
