DAZ 3D ships DAZ Studio 4 Advanced and Pro editions

The Pro edition of DAZ Studio 4 adds features for content creators, including new rigging tools.

DAZ 3D has released two new editions of DAZ Studio 4, its figure posing and animation software, aimed at power users and content creators. Both DAZ Studio 4 Advanced and DAZ Studio 4 Pro build on the new Genesis figure system introduced in the standard edition of the software, released earlier this year.

DAZ Studio 4 Advanced adds support for multi-layer and progressive rendering to the other render features built into the previous Advanced edition of the sofware (GI, AO, subsurface scattering, and so on), and is 64-bit compatible on both Windows and Mac OS X.

It also includes the Auto-Fit tool for adjusting clothing from one stock figure to another, originally released as a paid add-on to the standard edition of the software.

DAZ Studio 4 Pro is a new edition of the software aimed specifically at artists creating content for sale, and includes a range of rigging and weight-painting tools, along with import/export tools to other key applications (GoZ for ZBrush, 3D Bridge for Photoshop, an FBX exporter) and a Texture Atlas for games work.

DAZ Studio 4 Advanced is priced at $229.95. The Pro edition costs $429.95.
