Richard Rosenman releases Electra for Photoshop

Tools developer Richard Rosenman has released Electra, a new plugin for generating lightning bolts and electric arcs in Photoshop and other image-editing software.

Add highly customisable lightning and electric arc effects to source images
Electra automatically adds electrical arcs to 2D source images, with the user specifying the start and end points and, optionally, a mid point to help control the shape of the arc.

The form can be further adjusted via parameters to control resolution, displacement and branching, while further settings control how the arc fades out, and the surrounding glow.

The plugin supports both 8-bits- or 16-bits-per-channel workflow, and is fully multithreaded.

Pricing and system requirements
Electra is compatible with Photoshop CS5 and above, Illustrator CS6 and above, Painter 12.1 and above, and a range of similar tools, running on 64-bit Windows XP or higher. It costs $49.99.
