Get games careers advice from Halo 5 creator 343 Industries

Visitors to Gnomon’s Hollywood campus on Thursday 7 February 2019 will be able to get valuable games art careers advice from key staff at Halo developer 343 Industries.

Gnomon’s free evening event, Getting a Job in the Game Industry: Tips and Tricks with Industry Veterans, also features artists from Forza series developer Turn 10 Studios.

Essential careers advice and showreel tips for aspiring games artists
Getting a Job in the Game Industry promises to provide aspiring artists with valuable advice on landing their dream job in the games industry, including tips for how to create a successful demo reel.

The event will also provide technical insight into the processes of modelling and texturing characters and environments for videogames, along with animation, effects and tech art.

Speakers include Turn 10 Studios CG supervisor Matt Collins and art director Tim Dean, and 343 Industries outsource manager Adrien Cho and animation director Patrick Gillette.

They will be joined on stage by Annie Lohr, recruiter at new studio The Initiative – like Turn 10 and 343 Industries, part of the Microsoft Studios network.

Free to attend, but register online in advance
Getting a Job in the Game Industry: Tips and Tricks with Industry Veterans takes place at Gnomon from 7.30-10:00pm on Thursday 7 February 2019. Entry is free, but you’ll need to register online first.
